Who dat?

One of Josh's favorite places to hang is the Siam Ocean World at Siam Paragon. He knows it inside and out. You've seen pics of the big cuddly manta ray walking about and Josh giving him a hug. Well, now he is all about the divers. He could watch them all day.

He also decided to join a random school group today as they made their way through. No worries or fears at all.

First important word

Naturally Josh's first words were Mama and Dada. But what would his third word be?  Something significant?  Something simple?  How about Scissors!  Yes, Scissors.  Of course this was said with a mouth full of cookies.

To listen.

First time to the dentist

We took Josh for the first time to the dentist, not because he needed it but we want him to get used to it. Other than checking it all out and heading straight to the computer, did was a champ. The dentist said he had great teeth thus far with good spacing.

Way to go Joshy.

At 18 months

So what was Josh like as a toddler?  When you go to the mall or the Ocean World Aquarium, most kids would keep a watchful eye on their parents. You know, running like a kid runs but every now and again, looking back. Not Josh. He could care less where his parents are.  In fact, he runs up to complete strangers, holds his hands up begging to be lifted, in areas where we are no where to be seen yet, and offers a cuddle to anyone.  The bewildered victim, looks around for a parental approval or permission, hoping he might will not be accused of child theft, while a little blonde kid gives everyone a smile as big as can be.

What else you ask?  Most toddlers, at least his crowd, are scared to death of the big fuzzy characters walking around theme parks greeting the guests. Again, not Josh. He loves them.  In fact, won't leave them alone even when they have moved on to other kids. The one who ends up tormented seems to be the stuffed character, not Josh.

What's so funny about no?

Update:

How do you teach a child the meaning of the word NO?

Don't put Mr. Bunny, your hands or anything else in the house in the toilet, it's not funny.

But when you get a cheeky grin and a finger wag from the kid while he says Na, Na, Na, Na, you just wonder what you will find next... The TV remote or your iPhone perhaps?  Only time will tell but suggestions from the field are welcome.

Joshy's first hospital visit

Joshy came down with a sever chest virus and cold that morphed into a mild pneumonia while I was in the US.  Mummy was so tired trying to take care of the J man and Bai Yaw was a tremendous help through it all. P

And once he was feeling better the personality just came back.
